St John and NYC

Do you love food?  I do too!!!  In fact, I love food so much that I was a chef on a yacht for a few years and travel extensively to test my palette.  You can follow my instagram to keep up with my food adventures, but I will post some of my favorite foods on this page!

I have a sweet tooth and love for all things spicy and exotic; the allure of street food, beautiful creations in a bakery, or even hosting a party all spark my taste buds to life.  My ambitions for this page will be recipes, videos, pictures, really anything and everything pertaining to food!  So get your cutting boards ready or your mouths watering, because food is truly the way to understand another culture and to appreciate how unique each taste can be!

Cacio e Vino–NYC

Recommended by my amazing friend, Cesare, this adorable bistro located in central Manhattan is quaint, filled with passionate smiles on the wonderfully attentive staff.  I spoke with the owner, Paulino, and was thrilled to hear how much he enjoyed the restaurant business.  During my time in this adorable restaurant we were offered win, sampled amazing cheese dishes, sniffed at the aromatic wafts descending from the kitchen and flirted a bit with the cute wait staff.  If you are in NYC and craving authentic Sicilian food be sure to visit my friend Paulino.

La Tapas— St. John, USVI

One of my favorite island restaurants I have been privileged enough to know not just one of the chefs, but two!  Although Patrick has moved on to charter work, I have many fond memories of enjoying coffee cocktails and tasting the succulent taste of fresh seafoods such as Mahi-Mahi and Tuna.  The menu is Spanish in its influence, the Caribbean taste shines through in an assortment of local ingredients and zest.  The interior is romantic with a dark wooden bar, candle lights,  and eye-catching artwork decorating the walls.

Alex, the owner, pops by during many meals to chat with guests, hug the locals, and make your dining experience memorable on island.  A new chef, but one with a formidable name, has come to table as of July 2018.   Vincent Alterio is a master of his craft and I have been so lucky to call him a personal friend for several years.   Stop by this great spot when you are down in the islands, you will not regret indulging your senses.
